The road to 2012

With less than a year to go until the Olympics 2012, athletes all over the world are fighting to qualify for the London games. This weekend saw the first round of qualifications for the beach Volleyball finals which will take place in Brighton, as teams from the Caribbean and Mexico battled it out for one of 5 places in the second round of qualifications coming up in March 2012. The tournament was played out in a stunning location on Grand Cayman's Seven Mile Beach, voted one of the top 10 beaches in the world by tripadvisor earlier this year. In a nail biting finish, both male and female teams from the home country made it through to the next stage in March. It gave us a fabulous taste of the quality of sport we are in store for when the Olympics roll around next year and we cannot wait to see more!
